Ilk Studios was founded by Charlie Bush in 2021, taking his own refreshing approach to materials and form, creating fine furniture and products for everyday use. Built to last a lifetime.
Charlie’s designs are derived from his love of the wilderness: its wild structures, ever-changing elements and the beauty and complexity that only nature can forge. He focuses on material, shapes and finishes which complement one another and are of the same 'Ilk', combined with unique joinery to fuse all these elements intimately together.
Our collection features compelling shapes, captivating clean lines and bold curves combined together with only the highest-quality materials, which enhance synergistically together. Every piece is handcrafted from locally-sourced materials with a commitment to sustainability, minimal waste and a minimal carbon footprint.

We source all our recycled materials from local demolition companies and wholesalers, all our new timber species are sourced from FSC approved suppliers which mean our timber meets the “gold standard” of ethical production. The timber is harvested from forests that are responsibly managed, socially beneficial, environmentally conscious, and economically viable.

Nothing goes into our creations that isn’t absolutely necessary to the function, form and longevity of our products.
